Mid spring I had a fender bender with my truck. I was needing a body shop and a friend of mine at work suggested I try Midstate Collision Repair in Mackinaw, and I am very glad I did. I called Pete and asked him to do an estimate. From the moment I walked in the door, I was treated like royalty!, pete and the midstate team got my truck in quick and treated it like it was one of their own. This past summer (end of August) I had a mishap with my car. I needed a body shop and my boyfriend recommended Midstate Collision Repair; he had work done there earlier in the year. Extremely glad he recommended them. The team at Midstate were friendly, welcoming and treated me like a long lost friend. They got my car in real quick!     Midstate Collision Repair was established in 1991 by Pete Kehlert and Todd Vetter. Midstate made its debut in a building behind Pete's home in Mackinaw in October of 1991. We out grew that building and moved into the Mackinaw Industrial Park in 1994. Then in 2001 we moved down the road to a 15,000 sq. ft. building to accomodate our growing clientele. Throughout the years we have also been expanding our services to better accommodate our customer's needs. Our new building is furnished with state of the art equipment including 2 Chief Easy Liner frame machines, 3 paint booths (Devilbiss, Eagle, Standard), 5 hydraulic floor lifts and 2 tow trucks including a flatbed roll back wrecker and a 4x4 wheel lift tow truck. We have Coats tire changing and wheel balancing equipment. Robinair A/C equipment. For proper stuctural repairs of steel and aluminum we use Hobart Industrial Welding equipment with approved wire and C25 gas for stronger and cleaner welds to keep the structural integrity of the vehicle intact.

    We specialize in auto body repair work with all insurance companies, towing services, welding, tires, mechanical repairs, paint for Harley Davidson Motorcycles, fiberglass & gelcoat repair, watercraft & marine repair and Rv/truck/bus/tractor painting & repair. We now offer mechanical repair work as well. We have a computer diagnostic code reader to help diagnose any of your mechanical needs. We also can help keep your car running its best with maintenance services like oil changes,tire rotation, tune ups and suspension work. We also offer automotive air conditioner re-charging services and heater repairs.
